Q&A

Solar power system is the use sun to convert the electricity, and photovoltaic panel generally known as solar panel, solar cell or PV panel, which is a kind of photovoltaic device; as for solar water heater is a device which use solar energy to heat the water and does not involved in photovoltaic conversion. Since the two systems are completely different in terms of the design and the function, they are not compatible to be combined.

The power made by solar energy generation system is DC, which is completely radiation free and has no harm to human body; and a complete protection mechanism of electricity leakage, overvoltage, overcurrent and lightning strikes has been set up in accordance with international standards. Due to the frequent typhoon in Taiwan, many people worried about that the PV panels installed outside will be blown away, in fact, the bracket system has been standardized and certified by professional technicians, which can withstand winds over scale 18. In addition, for different kinds of rooftop, the PV panels are installed in a way that does not damage the roof structure, and there will be no water leakage problems.

The government will fully consider the impact on ecology, landscape, and culture when planning for the installation of solar power. The related development are all in accordance with Regional Planning Act, Regulations on Non-urban Land Use Control and Environmental Impact Assessment Act. Moreover, the government will give priority to promote the rooftop of non-ecological sensitive area, the areas with serious land subsidence go against agricultural operations, water space(floating, Ultilization of Limited Space), closed landfill and idle land, minimizing the impact on ecological environment.

After finished the photovoltaic application process, the TPC will read the gas meter of the equipment-located site regularly and sent the Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff Electricity Fee Notice and other related stamp-needed documents to you per two months, asking for sent the stamped-documents back, then they will remit the money to your account.
The scale and intensity of the solar power development of pond is relatively low: the installation has to base on the landform of the pond, with small area and dispersed field, and the pond still have the function of water storage during the installation period: In accordance with the announcement of Ministry of Agriculture on January 18, 107, “Management Principles for Installing Photovoltaic Facilities on Department of Irrigation and Engineering” The subsequent installation of photovoltaic systems should primarily utilize floating types to avoid the environmental impacts caused by pile foundation methods and water extraction. After the end of the solar power installation period, the related infrastructure can be removed and the pond can be restored to its original state, which is not a permanent development behavior.
If there’s too much dust on the surface of the PV panels, it will affect power generation efficiency. If there are bird droppings stick to the panels might cause efficiency degradation in long term. The inclined installation of PV panels is originally designed for self-cleaning by rainwater. Aside from this, it is recommended that the installers spray clean water every 1 or 2 months to wash off dust, bird droppings, leaves, or spider webs, maintaining the efficiency of the equipment.”

A solar photovoltaic system includes critical components such as photovoltaic modules, DC combiner boxes (containing switches and protective devices), inverters, AC panels (including DC switches and protective devices), etc. The quality, reliability, and lifespan of the photovoltaic modules and inverters are crucial for the system’s performance and lifespan. It is recommended to use cerified modules and inverters to ensure product reliability. Currently, module verification standards include IEC, UL, CNS, among others, while inverter verification standards include VDE, EN, IEEE, and CNS (partial). In Ghan CO., LTD.’s patented usage scenario, the verified lifespan of photovoltaic modules is expected to be around 20-25 years, while that of inverters is approximately 10 years.
